- Heights Arts House Concerts
If you like classical music (and you have $40 to spare) you can hardly do better
than this series of Cleveland Heights house concerts. Being the home of the
Cleveland Orchestra
means that when you're standing in line at the Stone Oven
or having a drink at Nighttown you could be
brushing elbows with one of the world's top classical musicians. And that's the
type of people who perform at these house concerts. You could go to the Cleveland
Orchestra but here you'll be close enough to hear them breathing. (Now that I've
written that I wonder if that's a good thing)
They're held in Cleveland Heights homes, they are casual events usually followed up
by dessert afterwards and the musicians are usually mulling about with you at the
dessert table so you can tell them how much you enjoyed it, or whatever.
I think the event is just great.
The way it works is, because it's in someone's house, you need to pay for your tickets
before they'll tell you where the event is, but it's usually in the heights area. So DO IT!
To the Extreme, and Back
The music of Hungarian Composer Gy”rgy Ligeti. Also some Mendelssohn.
